Flora Spinning Top - Mader

Flora is a great finger top with wide gradations of color that somewhat resembled a UFO from above.    Made with the traditional technique of "overhead skimming" which means the wood in carved from the top side down making the top side of this top concave.  Something that can only be achieved by hand when turned on a lathe.
